Esperanza Porras-Field

Council – At Large Candidate

Esperanza Porras-Field is Founder/President Emeritus of the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber of Commerce. She has served on numerous public bodies: Morristown Parking Authority; Planning Board of Morristown; Casa Amiga of Morristown; Board of Directors, Dover NJ Spanish-American Credit Union; Board of Directors, Fair Housing Council; Board of Advisors, Spanish Affairs of Morris County; Morris County Department of Planning Development Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee; Governor Florio’s Ethnic Advisory Council from 1990-1994; Governor Whitman’s Leadership Summit on Diversity in 1997; Governor Corzine’s Transition Economic Advisory Committee Member in 2006; and others. A graduate of Saint Peters University with a degree in Social Science, Esperanza manages her own consulting company, HopeSeasons LLC, which focuses on small business matchmaking and minority certifications. She is a Broker Associate with Coldwell Banker Brokerage.

Maria Scumaci

Council – At Large Candidate

Maria Scumaci is a private property developer in Morristown focused on restoring properties built by the Murphy family between 1861-1891 dubbed “Murphy’s Hill.” Other notable development work by Maria includes a public works project with the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission relating to HVAC, with an overall budget of $3.5 million. Fluent also in Spanish and Italian, Maria is a certified English teacher who spent time abroad at language schools in Italy. She is founder/owner of Ad Maiora International, LLC, an import-export company, and is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Science dual-majoring in Business Management and International Management and triple-minoring in Economics, Spanish, and Italian. She is certified by the State of New Jersey as a Campaign Treasurer through the Treasurer Training Program required for Gubernatorial, Legislative and State Political Committees.

Jenna Gervasio

Council – At Large Candidate

Jenna M. Gervasio is a professional in building construction, with an expertise in estimation, permitting and billing for commercial and residential projects. Her decade-long experience in the construction industry is complemented by a degree in Construction Management from Fairleigh Dickinson. Jenna has deep political roots: her grandfather, a former chief of detectives in the Morristown police force, served twice as Mayor of Morristown, in 1973 and 1982. Her father, a Vietnam veteran, served on the Morristown Partnership and is now a Commissioner for the Morristown Parking Authority. Her brother, a Marine, served in the Iraq War. Passionate about art, Jenna has also devoted the last 15 years of her life as an artist.
